Dear Family and Friends,
If you haven't viewed our electronic Christmas Card before then look to the top right side of the page for the How To instructions! I don't know if anyone else does one of these but it sure is fun! We hope you enjoy it.
By the time this gets to you we will be in Italy with Laura, Robert, Spencer and Ross! We will be leaving the US on the 12th and have just about gotten everything ready to go. It still seems unreal, but it appears it really is going to happen. We have not seen them in nearly 2 years and it is time! We have saved our pennies for a long time (and guarded it like the Holy Grail) and we are so blessed to be able to go! We feel it is literally a gift from God during these pressing economic times.
But even from afar we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and let you know of our love for you and that we will miss you while we are there. We pray that everything is going well for you. We pray that your health is good and your family happy. We want to wish you every good thing.
We feel that as the world seems to be spinning out of control in so many ways, it is comforting to remember our families and friends, neighbors and people we have worked with over the years at our jobs and also at church and in the community. I also think of my wonderful blogging friends whom I have never met in person, but feel I know so well. We have also so enjoyed reconnecting with so many great friends from the past on Facebook. Gotta love this technology that keeps us all a little closer!
When we get discouraged we remind ourselves of all of you and the great blessings you are in our lives. We think of all the things we have accomplished together, the love and the good times and experiences we have shared with you.
It is easy to get caught into that downward spiral of worrying and fretting about the things we cannot change. It seems better to keep our faith in God alive and growing and to concentrate on what we do have. A lot of the peace and happiness we feel this Christmas is because of you. It is the relationships we have that bring us such joy. Thank you for being a big part of that. So Merry Christmas from our house to yours! May we all be looking for that silver lining no matter what the circumstances this year. We hope you all enjoy the Peace of Christ in your Christmas celebration!
All our love,
Jim and Bonnie
P.S. When you get to the end of the page if you look down and slightly to the right you will see Older Post. Click on it for the next of section to this card. I know you die hard bloggers know this but this is for those who have never been on a blog before.
